The Elba Police Department's Communications Center is the primary public safety answering point for all 9-1-1 calls for the City of Elba and Coffee County's fire and medical jurisdictions.  The Communications Center operates 24 hours, 7 days a week.  Dispatchers receive advanced training throughout the year to help retain their skills and introduce them to new information.  The Communication Division consists of eight full time and one part time communication officers.
