The mission of the Elba Parks and Recreation Department is to provide low-cost, recreational opportunities, facilities and programs to citizens of Elba. Our goal is to ensure all individuals that would like to participate in recreational activities are given the opportunity to do so. The Elba Parks and Recreation Department offers the following activities, but not limited to, baseball, softball, t-ball, basketball, cheerleading, and football.

Coffee County Lake

coffee-county-lake-fishing-on-boatManaged by the Elba Parks and Recreation Department, the Coffee County Lake is an 80-acre lake located 8 miles northwest of Elba, Alabama. The facilities offer public restrooms, concessions, fishing tackle, bait, and other fishing supplies. Three fishing piers make deep water easy to access without using a boat. Fish attractors are along the lake and boats are also available to rent. Fishers may use their own boats and a launching ramp is available; however, only trolling motors may be used on boats with an outboard motor. Directions: From Elba, turn North onto County Road 364/Taylor Mill Road at intersection on AL 203 and MLK Drive. Continue on County Road 50 for 6 miles. The Coffee County Lake is on the left.

Elba City Pool

The Elba City Pool is open to the public in the summer. Certified lifeguards are on-site. Additionally, the lifeguard staff offers swimming lessons during the season for an additional fee. More information may be obtained by contacting the Elba Recreation Center at (334) 897-6833.

The Elba City Pool is temporarily closed due to repairs. 

Pea River

The Pea River in Elba, AL is an excellent river for fishing with either a small flat bottom or pontoon boat. It is also a very popular river for canoeing and kayaking. Boats can easily launch at the boat ramp just below the intersection of Hwy. 84 and CR 401.
